About

WHO WE ARE

We are people from Brighouse and we share a passion:

FOOD!

We aim to empower the community to retain and reuse our green spaces.   Our mission is to turn unloved spaces into beautiful, practical areas by growing herbs, fruit and vegetables.  Outside Lawson Road 2 April 2015

We are all unpaid volunteers who give up a couple of hours a month, doing a range of activities from weeding, planting and harvesting to running a stall at Brighouse events.  We have a tiny budget, relying on fund-raising, donations and good-will to achieve our goals.  And there are many small ways in which YOU can help!

INDIVIDUALS CAN AND DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

We’d love your help!

If you can spare a couple of hours a month, we are preparing new sites, growing and planting vegetables, herbs and fruit, making and maintaining the raised beds and surrounding areas of Brighouse.

If you have spare seeds, seedlings, saplings, recycled materials for raised beds, planters, insect homes, bird houses and feeders, or can make any of these – we’d love your donations.Fruit trees outside wilkinsons 2 janfeb2015

If you knit, sew, create –  donations for fund raising events would be greatly appreciated – particularly if your items have an edible theme!
